As a hiker you will be amazed by the rugged terrain, the sandy beaches and the beautiful forests. On the east coast you can spend hours staring at the horizon.

This section is like a hidden gem.

When you step ashore at the ferry quay, you are greeted by open spaces and a cozy atmosphere. You disembark in the heart of the island. The restaurant, the shop, and the holiday village. In the summer, it buzzes with life. After passing the holiday village, the gravel road takes you to the northern end, where you will encounter a similar wildness as on Ålö.

Here on Nåttarö, you will be amazed by the beauty, the rugged terrain, and the endless horizon. Rocky outcrops, sandy beaches, and fantastic forests.

Nåttarö is a section you must not miss.

How to get there

Regular ferry from Nynäshamn or via Ålö and Rånö. Summer season (22 June – 16 August 2026): the Nordsyd line follows the SAT with connections to Utö. Taxi-boat bookings via BOUT.

Terrain and waymarking

Rugged island with rocky outcrops, shingle, sandy beaches and pine forest; technical trail along the east coast with rocks and roots

Blue/yellow reflective bands and directional arrows. The trail is walked clockwise, turning left at the shop heading north. Denser marking at junctions; sparse where the trail is obvious.
